Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryYOLANDE SCHICK (nee TEILLET) It is with great sorrow that the family of Yolande Schick announces her passing on the evening of Thursday, January 26, 2006 at 78 years of age. Yolande leaves us to join her beloved husband William Schick, numerous brothers and sisters and relatives. Yolande was a very loved and loving mother, grandmother and friend. Her memory will be cherished by her children, Bob (Renate), Jack (Rhonda), Donna Rey (Norbert), Bill (Pat), Carolyn Kutney (Chris), Claire, Terry, Rick, Anthony (Jackie) and her adored 21 grandchildren, as well as her brother Ed and sister Marie (Gus). She was an outgoing, fun, loving person. Everyone who knew her learned more about themselves by being in her company. At a very young age she lost her mother and quickly learned to become a caregiver herself. She was a very selfless person who gave lots of herself. Through all of her hardships she still found the time to become an amazing wife as well as a loving mother that showed that family values are more important than the material things in life. She was always there to lend a shoulder when needed, and toprovide words of wisdom. Yolande had many profound achievements throughout her life from standing up for her children's rights in school to being inducted into the Cooperstown baseball hall of fame for her accomplishments with the All American Girls Professional Baseball League. She lived her life to the fullest, providing herself with experiences that could fill many lifetimes over. She had numerous friends and was especially fond of the gang at the Wrinkle Ranch, of which she was the founding member. Cremation has taken place and prayers for Yolande will be provided during mass on Monday, January 30 at 7 p.m. at St. Vital Church 1629 Pembina Highway. The funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vital, 1629 Pembina Highway. Thanks to Dr. Hayward and all the doctors and nurses involved in her care. Special thanks to all the staff and nurses at Riverview Hospital for the care and comfort during her short time there. Flowers gratefully declined. If so desired, donations may be made to Riverview hospital or the Kinsmen Group. THOMSON IN THE PARK FUNERAL HOME AND CEMETERY 1291 McGillivray Blvd. 925-1120
