SARAH JEAN CANVIN David and Marie Canvin are saddened to announce the tragic death of their dear daughter, Sarah Jean Canvin, on Friday, January 27, 2006. Sarah was born in Winnipeg on February 5, 1964. She completed high school at Grenville Christian College in Brockville, ON and attended Film Studies at York University and Queen's University. Although Sarah endured many years of mental illness, she strived to enjoy many interests in life including arts and crafts, movies, music, art, literature, cooking, cookbooks, sewing and especially her beautiful French Country garden at Snug Harbour Resort. Sarah planned the garden and she and her dad spent many fruitful hours working together in it. One of the highlights of her life was a long vacation in France with her mom and dad where she furthered her interests in food, cooking and the glories of French culture. She is survived by her brothers, Robert, Paul and Steven, his wife Liz and their children, Gillian and Neil (who adored their aunt); her auntie Jean and uncle Jack Rockey; her many cousins; her wonderful friends; the Fishers and Holmes; and her two beloved cats, Milkbud and Ajax. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 3, at 1:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston, ON, 613-544-3411).
