MARIA DO CARMO It is with deep sadness the family announces the passing of Maria Do Carmo on Sunday, January 29, 2006 at St. Joseph's Residence, at the age of 91 years. She was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal and immigrated to Winnipeg in 1970. Maria will be sadly missed by her children, Guilhermina (Eduardo) Pereira and Leonardo (Maria Da Conceicao) Rego; step-daughter Olivia Melo; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; her sister Isabel Vieira in Brampton, ON; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank the staff of St. Joseph's Residence for all their care and support. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, January 31 at 8:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. with Rev. Fr. Jose Eduardo Medeiros presiding. Entombment will follow in Queen of Heaven Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria's memory to Alzheimer Society or the Manitoba Lung Association. Rest in Peace CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
