JAMES STEWART NICHOLSON October 15, 1951 - January 27, 2006 Peacefully, with his family by his side Jim passed away on Friday January 27, 2006, after a long and courageous battle with injuries suffered at work on December 19, 2005. His wife Kelly and daughter Caroline will never forget how hard he tried to stay with them and how much he taught us all about life and love throughout this painful time. Jim's family would like to thank all the wonderful staff at the HSC SICU ward for all they did during Jim's fight to stay and help they gave his family when it was time to let him go. Jim was a rare bird in this world, kind to all and easygoing to a fault. Jim was predeceased by his father Gordon in 1976. In addition to his wife and daughter Jim is survived by his Mother Lenore Nicholson, Sisters Pat Robbins, and Lee Nicholson. A long time employee at Griffin Canada he took great pride in his participation in the safety/first aid team. The family thanks the employees that were there when Jim was injured and the help they provided. Jim's greatest pride was his daughter Caroline, his biggest joy being a Dad. Sports (Baseball, Fencing) Music...her loves became his loves and he would never miss a Daughter/Dad day even if it was just goofing around together. Kelly and Caroline would also like to thank all the people that sent their love and prayers that brought them much comfort. The employees at Griffin for their kindness and support as well as the staff at Agricore United as they were as much a part of Jim's family as anyone. We know that great sorrow has been suffered by all of Jim's friends and fellow employees and wish them peace. Sister/Aunt Pat for keeping everything together for us, so we were able to focus our efforts on Jim. Brothers/Uncles and Aunts Terry (Lori), Tim and Mike for everything they did no matter what was asked. Dad/Grandpa and Grandma Doris for being at the hospital when it was so very difficult for them. Jim's sisters Pat and Lee and everyone else who loved Jim for patiently waiting for better times that didn't come to visit Jim at the hospital. A special thank you to Jim's niece Keri for accepting the difficult job of providing Jim's family with the details of his battle. Lastly Kelly would like everyone to know that Jim was the most important reason for her to be..........And the reason she will continue to be able to do so. Remember Jim, you and I had so much more to do and I know we will be able to do it later . Love you Jimbey. In lieu of flowers the family would request donations to the Health Sciences Centre SICU ward. A celebration of Jim's life will be held on Wednesday, February 1, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 778 Archibald.
