Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES BRYAN CRAWLEY February 8, 1921- January 31, 2006 Peacefully, with his wife Janice at his side, Bryan passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 84 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. Bryan was predeceased by his parents, Margaret and Thomas, brother Tom and sister Margery. He will be lovingly remembered by Janice, his wife of 41 years, son Devin (Estelle) and by many special family members and friends. Born and raised in Dryden, ON, Bryan served four years overseas in the Royal Canadian Air Force as a wireless radio operator and dance-band saxophonist during the Second World War. After the war, he studied architecture at the University of Toronto then worked for various firms before becoming self-employed in Winnipeg. His lifelong passion for music was equalled by his love for painting watercolour landscapes. In recent years he enjoyed travelling to England, Europe and other far-flung locations on painting expeditions with Janice. He will be fondly remembered for his quiet generosity, warmth and dry sense of humour. His family would like to extend a special note of thanks to the staff of the Two West ward of Riverview Health Centre for their kindness and attentive care. A celebration of Bryan's life will take place at Thomson In the Park , 1291 McGillivray Blvd. on Friday, February 3 at 2:00 p.m., with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, family would appreciate donations to Parkinson Society Canada, Suite 302, 171 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 1M4.
