HELEN MARGARET MASON (nee TATARYN) It is with deep sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Helen Mason on January 31, 2006 after a lengthy illness at St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 70 years. Helen Tataryn was born in Dryden, ON on September 30, 1935 and married Leslie John William Mason, February 2, 1963. Prior to her marriage, she was employed at the St. Regis Bag Factory in Dryden for a number of years, then pursued a career in hair dressing. After her marriage to Les, she became a stay at home Mom caring for her two children. In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, crocheting, embroidering and knitting, often donating her crafts to those less fortunate. Helen is survived by her loving husband Les; two daughters, Nancy (Doug) Lloyd and Diana Karlowsky (Frank Schlegel); three grandchildren, Shawna, Jeffrey and Dillon; her mother Edna Tataryn and her brother John (Helena) Tataryn and family. She was predeceased by her father Michael Tataryn March 5, 1997. A loving wife, a devoted mother and a caring grandmother, she will be missed dearly and remembered greatly.
