JAMES DAVID IRONS
Born: Aug 21, 1918
Date of Passing: Jan 18, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES DAVID IRONS August 21, 1918 - January 18, 2006 Born in Winnipeg, Jim married in 1940 and raised his family there. He retired to Victoria in 1979 from the position of Secretary to the Sinking Fund Trustees of the City of Winnipeg. He will be sadly missed by his wife Celia; his sister Evelyn; his daughters, Val (Don) and Diedre; grandchildren, Tanis, Jeremy and Phoebe; and great-grandchildren, Naomi, Jeremy and Tyler; especially for his happy and generous nature, his concern for others, his love of music, his sense of humour and keen enjoyment of life. Jim chose not to have a service, hoping that friends will remember with pleasure many years of square dancing, golfing, travelling and the sharing of good times. We wish to express our gratitude for their caring support to many long-time, faithful friends and to the dedicated staff and volunteers in Palliative Care at Saanich Peninsula Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to SPH Palliative Care would be much appreciated.
