JOSEPH WILCHOWY 1915 - 2006 Peacefully at the Gimli Community Health Center on Tuesday, January 31, 2006, Joe Wilchowy, aged 91 years of Gimli, MB. He is survived by his sister Annie Andruschak of Winnipeg. He was predeceased by his parents Onofrey and Polly Wilchowy, sister Mary Powzun and brothers Mike, Harry, and Bill. Uncle Joe will be fondly remembered by his nieces and nephews and their families, Eleanor Johnson (Barney), Betty Both, Brian Powzun, Allan Andruschak (Pam), and Peter Andruschak (Diane). Joe lived in the Silver area before moving to Gimli eight years ago. He resided at the New Harbor Lodge and Gimli Betel. Uncle Joe will always be remembered as a kind, quiet and gentle soul. His health, energy, great attitude and interest in what we were doing in our lives always amazed us. He had a great smile and loved being at family gatherings with all the kids around. We would like to thank the great staff at the Betel Home and the staff at the Gimli Community Health Center, Dr. R.C. Patel and Dr. S.V. Patel. At Joe's request cremation has taken place and a family service will be held at a later date. Remember uncle Joe by taking a walk and stopping to smell the roses and feeling the sun on your face along the way. He would like that. We will miss you. Rest in Peace.
