Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJACOB ROGALSKY September 15, 1917 - January 30, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grand-father and brother at the age of 88 years. He passed away peacefully at Victoria General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jake will be lovingly remembered by his wife Helen (nee Warkentin); daughters, Edna (Kevin) Closs of Winnipeg, Karen (Wilf) Harms of Calgary and son Andy (Laura) of Glenlea; grandchildren, Allison and Adam Closs, Kristin, Michael and Lauren Harms, Stefan and Derrick Rogalsky; and his sister Nettie Rogalsky of Winnipeg, many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Jake was predeceased by his oldest son Jim in December 2004, his parents and sister Mary Wiens. Jake and his family immigrated to Canada from Russia in 1924 and settled in the Glenlea area where he farmed until 1992 and then resided in Winnipeg until his passing. A special thank you to Dr. B. Sharkey and the compassionate, caring staff on the 3rd floor North at the Victoria Hospital. Words cannot express our appreciation for the loving care provided. Viewing will be held Sunday, February 5 at 3:00 p.m. at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, 150 Penfeld Dr., Steinbach. Funeral service will be held Monday, February 6 at 2:00 p.m. at the Glenlea Mennonite Church, Highway 75 at Glenlea Road. Interment to follow at the Glenlea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200 - 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6 or to Mennonite Central Committee Memorial Plan, 134 Plaza Drive, Winnipeg, MB R3T 5K9.
