Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMARINA LOPEZ DIAZ January 24, 1929 - February 1, 2006 Sadly, on Wednesday, February 1, at the age of 77, Marina Lopez Diaz left us to join the angels. She was a devoted and loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and friend. Her kindness and compassion touched the lives of all she met. Everyone was her sweetie and she was loved by many. She unselfishly shared her young spirit with all her grandchildren; while imparting on her family her wisdom and love. She was a teacher of spirit and wisdom. She is survived by her husband of 51 years Constante Prieto Diaz and their four children: Jose Antonio Lopez Diaz; Constantino Lopez Diaz (Paula); Jose Manuel Lopez Diaz (Sharon); Marina Diaz (Rodney C Lowry). She is also survived by her sister Emilia Silva here in Winnipeg and Emilia's daughters Rosabela and Diana. When Marina immigrated to Canada she left behind family and friends in both England and Spain. Leaving to mourn in England is her sister Nieves Hazell; and in Spain she is missed by her sister Ynolita Lopez Lagos (Manuel); her brothers Manolo Lopez (Marina) and Tonito Lopez (Lola). Among the number of nieces and nephews who will also mourn, she leaves behind her dearest grandchildren; Justin, Nathasha, Joshua, Jacob and Kyra-Lynn. You were her pride and joy. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 7 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint) with a viewing half hour prior to the service. Interment to follow in Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens. Thank you to the nurses and doctors at the St. Boniface General Hospital Emergency and ICU wards. Your compassion was greatly appreciated. You are truly God's angels. In honour of her generous spirit, donations to your favourite charity is greatly appreciated. You lived the life of an angel; and allowed us the privilege of loving you. May you now find peace with your angels, as you share your love from above. May we make you proud while we continue our journey; and when we see each other again, may God grant us that privilege of loving you once more.
