ADA GWENDOLINE (GWEN) YURASEK (nee SLOANE) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Gwen Yurasek at the age of 63 years on January 30, 2006 at St. Boniface Hospital with her family by her side. Left to mourn her passing is her daughter Laura; brother Bill (Bev); nephews, Doug (Judy and children Christine and Kenny), Mike (Ryoko) and his daughter Hannah; and cousins, Linda (Wayne) and Leata (Otto). Gwen was predeceased by her father Jack and mother Ada. The family wishes to thank her many friends from Dakota Collegiate and Lavallee School where she worked as an Educational Assistant for special needs children for many years for their love and support. A celebration of Gwen's life will be held on Wednesday, February 8, at 1:30 p.m. in Fort Garry United Church, 800 Point Rd. with Rev. Dr. Gordon Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Thomson In the Park Cemetery. If friends so desire, donations in Gwen's memory may be made to the Winnipeg Pet Rescue Shelter, 3062 Portage Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3K 0Y1.
