Many years ago, when I was growing up in Charleswood, my best friend at the time, Sharon, took me on a very long bike ride out the back roads of our neighbourhood and into the fields of Oak Bluff where Granny Hewett lived. It was a magical farm. We played in the barn and had a big meal in the wonderful farm kitchen. That night we slept very soundly in the upstairs bedroom tucked under the eaves. I specifically remember the waterfall lamp that sat on the side table. Thank you Sharon, for all our adventures and your amazing Granny Hewett. Happy 60th birthday.
