Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySIMONE DESJARLAIS (CARRIERE) With broken hearts and great sadness we, the family of Simone Desjarlais (Carriere), announce her sudden passing at home with her husband Clarence, on February 2, 2006 in Lundar, MB. She leaves to mourn her loving husband Clarence and their 11 children, Jeannie (Harry) Rose (snowball), George (Sheila), Gerald, David (Eileen), Noel (Joanne), Mary-Ann (Fern), Sherry (Bradley), Susie (Larry), Cindy (Vince), Jacqueline (Dave) and special nephew Perry (Carol), other daughter Karen Johannson, along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, many in-laws, nieces, nephews and two sisters, Lorraine and Thelma and two brother-in-laws, Jim and Ken, special friend Dayle Woytyshyn and son Jodi. She was predeceased by her two sons, Alfred and Charles, her parents, Frank and Bertha Carriere, her sisters, Florence and Florida (Eddy), brothers-in-law, Joe and Bobby, sister-in-law Leona and son-in-law Lorne. Simone was born in Marchand, MB on September 30, 1929. She was very involved in the MMF and was on the Board of Directors for many years. As well, she was one of the founding members of the Lundar local. She was one of the founders of Mount Carmel Clinic with Anne Ross. She loved her Kinsmen Jackpot Bingo and scratch tickets. Her pride and joy was showing off her 11 children and grandchildren and she used to talk about them to anyone that would listen. She was always available to talk and listen with her children at any time of the night and day. Mom loved her country music and was very proud to know her girls were out singing. Simone resided in Lundar, MB for over 25 years. Wife and Mother cannot be defined; the surface can only be touched by words we say to you because our feelings are too deep to be grasped by the human tongue. Only our hearts feel what our words have not the ability to capture. Now you are in God's tender care and we will love and miss you now and always. Angels in Heaven, please care for our wife and Mom until we meet again in our heavenly home A special thanks to the staff at the Eriksdale Hospital who always took extra special care of Simone and putting up with numerous calls and visits from our family. Also, we would like to thank her home care givers and the Lundar Care Home staff, especially her fave Sandra Tkach. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, February 6 at the Lundar Legion Hall with Pastor Bill Watson officiating. Service will conclude at the Hall.
