Bill was predeceased by his wife Donna in October 1989; his parents, Sophie and Walter; brother Peter and his sister Jean. Dad will be lovingly remembered by his son Randy; daughter-in-law Susan; daughter Kim; grandchildren, Todd, Andrea, Melissa, Tynan, Ashley and Alyssa; sister Ann Paquin as well as many other relatives and friends. Bill was born April 16, 1929 in Norwood to parents who had immigrated from Ukraine. After working for the CNR, he joined the Winnipeg Electric (Transit) Company in 1954 as a Bus Driver and then became a Driver Instructor, retiring in May 1987. Bill made many friendships while at Transit, friendships which lasted a lifetime. Bill had a cottage at Grand Marais and after retiring was able to spend six months each year at his summer residence. He was happiest when surrounded by family and friends and we will always remember the happy times spent at our cottage with him. Bill was a bird lover and enjoyed sitting in his backyard watching the birds and other animals. His favourite pastimes were golf, reading, taking long walks and cross-county and downhill skiing which he enjoyed until the age of 72. Bill had a kind heart and was always available for anyone who needed his help. We are all going to miss him very much. Thanks to Dr. Philippe Erhart and the sixth floor staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. Your kindness will always be remembered.
