HARRY MARTYNIUK It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather on February 2, 2006 at the age of 84. Harry was predeceased by his parents, Veronica and John; sisters, Minnie and Jenny; brothers, Steve, William and Walter. Remaining to forever cherish his memory are his wife of 58 years Rose; children, Steve and Jeanette (Orest); two grandchildren, Sanna and Tamara; one great-grandchild Stevie; niece Helen (Art) Roy and family of Ignace, ON, as well as his many friends. Harry was born in Winnipeg on February 10, 1921. In his early years he worked for the Royal American Shows and then at Burns Meat where he retired after 32 years. His fishing trips he made with Rose to Ignace were very special with many fun memories. Harry also enjoyed the time he spent with all his friends at Ukrainian National Home Association, and most special, he enjoyed all the time he spent with his great-granddaughter Stevie. We would like to extend a thank you to all the doctors, nurses and staff who cared for Harry at the Seven Oaks General Hospital for all their care and compassion. Memorial service will take place on Tuesday, February 7 at 11:00 a.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. with Fr. Isadore officiating. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Harry's memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2B7, 774-7483.
