MARY KOROLYK It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our mother on her 94th birthday, Friday, February 3, 2006. Mom lived a very long, very healthy and independent life. Her career as CEO of Korol's Lunch on Keewatin Street for 48 years kept her very busy flipping burgers, peeling and cutting potatoes for french fries and making batter for the fish. Delicious cabbage rolls, perogies and homemade chicken soup were a family favourite for many years. At age 93 Mom was still serving customers and spent many happy hours talking to them. She was delighted with several newspaper articles that were written about her and her customers. Her parents, Fred and Anna Krymski of Rembrandt, MB, a son Richard and in 1972, her husband William, predeceased her. Her three sons, Donald, Barry and Dennis and their families survive mom. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her. The family is thankful for the care given by the 3rd floor staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, after her recent stroke. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal funeral service will be held. In her memory, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3L 0K6. Cropo Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
