Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) MACGREGOR July 22, 1921 - February 3, 2006 On Friday, February 3, 2006, our dear husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital with his beloved Audy and family by his side. Left with loving memories are his wife of 57 years, Audrey; son Jim (Ena); daughters, Judy Olford (Keith) and Caryn Zinko (Jim); grandchildren, Lori, Amy, Mark, Sean, Stephanie, Christian, Nicholas and Gillian; and great-granddaughter Alissa. Jack was born and raised in Winnipeg, enjoying his early years with his brothers, Richard, who predeceased him and Duncan. In 1940, Jack joined the Royal Canadian Navy and proudly served his country during the Second World War. He returned home to Winnipeg to start his long career in retail management. At Eaton's, he met Audrey and they began their life together in December, 1948 with a move to Calgary. Many moves later, the family returned to Winnipeg, at which time Jack was with Robinson Little stores. He took his retirement from them at the age of 64. His love of home and gardening kept him busy well into his 80's. We could always count on Dad to help out with home repairs and to share his tomato crop! The last year of Jack's life was spent in Deer Lodge Hospital where he was well cared for by the excellent staff of Tower 3. We want to thank them all for their care and support. As well, thank you to the nurses of 3 North at the Grace Hospital, especially Leslie, whose compassion was a great comfort. Jack's funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. in the Silver Heights United Church, 199 Garrioch Ave. (corner of Mount Royal Road and Ness Avenue). For those who wish, additional parking is available in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church parking lot located on Ness Avenue. Our family gratefully declines flowers, donations in Jack's memory may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba, 10-120 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 4G2. Jack's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
