KAREN EDITH SPARKS (nee WILLIAMS) March 27, 1952 - February 2, 2006 Karen was born in Winnipeg on March 27, 1952 and passed away suddenly in Calgary on February 2, 2006. Karen will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her mother Elsie (Peg) Williams, daughters, Brandi, Amber and Traci, sister Beverly Williams (Grant Millburn), three grandchildren and longtime companion Doug Rykman of Calgary. Karen was predeceased by her father Alfred in 1981. Karen grew up in Winnipeg, graduated from Silver Heights Collegiate, then attended one year at Winnipeg Bible College (Providence College) before moving to Vancouver. While growing up Karen was active with her family at Bethel Baptist Church where she participated in Sunday School, Explorers, C.G.I.T. and Youth Group. A funeral service has been held in Calgary and a memorial service will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 205 Roseberry St. on Thursday, February 9 at 2:30 p.m.
