BARBARA RITCHOT (nee TUCK) On Sunday, February 5, 2006, with her daughters by her side. Barbara passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital Palliative Care Unit. She fought a courageous five year battle with cancer and had many miracles along the way. Barbara was born December 29, 1941 in Winnipeg, where she resided her whole life. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Teresa (Terry) McKimm, their children, Aaron and Brieanna; Charlene (Doug) Jongsma, their children, Derek, Kyle, Jeremy; brothers, Robert Bob (Georgina Jinx ) Tuck, Wayne (Kathy) Tuck; sisters, Joan (Adelarde Happy Hupe), Pat Saltel, Carol Tuck; ex-husband Art Ritchot; brothers-in-law, Paul (Carol) Ritchot, Georges Ritchot; sister-in-law Paulette (Don) Campbell, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Alice and Robert Buster Tuck, brothers-in-law, Maurice Saltel and Rene Ritchot. Barbara was a wonderful mother to her girls. She was always there for advice, support, or whatever they needed. She was an excellent role model who taught her daughters well. She was a loving, devoted grandmother who spoiled her grandchildren. She said it was a grandmother's right to spoil them before sending them home. She enjoyed having the grandchildren sleep over so they could watch Disney movies and Land Before Time movies (her favourites). She attended school functions and sports tournaments and cheered them on. She really looked forward to visits from her twin great-niece and great-nephew. They would light up her face! Barbara will be missed by all whose life she touched. Teresa, Charlene, and her family would like to thank the staff at Tache Personal Care Home, and the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital for all their support and kindness through everything. We would also like to thank the many family members and friends for their visits and support. It meant a lot! A special thank you to Dr. Mehta. In keeping with Barbara's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 10 at 1:00 p.m. at Covenant Christian Reform Church, 653 Knowles Ave. Interment will follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface Hospital, 8A - 409 Tache Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy.
