Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTERRANCE JOSEPH SENOW July 30, 1963 - February 5, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Terry Senow beloved husband and father on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the age of 42 years. Terry fought a courageous battle and passed on peacefully with his wife Paula, family and friends at his side. Terry grew up in Winnipeg, Leaf Rapids and at the family cottage in Sandy Hook. He has made Gimli his home for the last 24 years. Most people in town will remember the twelve years he spent working as Produce Manager at Tomboy, Volunteer Ambulance Attendant at Johnson Memorial and kid's soccer coach. For the last ten plus years Terry has enjoyed working in exploration for Major Drilling (Midwest). As a Driller and Medic Terry has worked in Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Portugal, Albania, Mongolia and Canada's Arctic. Most notable was Greenland where in 1995 Terry and his crew were recognized for a World Record Achievement for the Furthest Northern Exploration Drill Hole in the World. Terry's greatest passion was always on his Road King, riding alone or with friends. He enjoyed working on motorcycles and anything he could get his tools at. He was happy tinkering around the garage and yard or just sitting on the deck having a cold beer. Terry also loved to go golfing with his golf partner Paula and anytime one of his brothers could go made it even better. When the kids came into his life he found there was an even greater love he had in his heart and that he called the Boys . There are far too many things to mention that Terry enjoyed doing with them but fishing at Willow Island and roasting kolbassa over a fire with his little pyromaniacs was very special. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Paula (Stefanson) and his three boys, Brendan, Ryder and Dane and their family puppy Chopper. In addition, his mother Lorraine Larusson-Senow, big brother Skip (Laura), big sister Shelly (Jim), little brothers, Darryl (Alva) and Bobby, Paula's parents, Gord and Lena Stefanson, Amma Kristjana Stefanson, close friends, Ronnie and Joy Martin, Marc Breton, cousin Ben and numerous other great friends, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Terry was predeceased by his father John David Senow in 1999. Terry has touched so very many people during his life and his travels around the globe. The brothers he rides with, his friends and fellow workers across Canada and overseas, the gang down in Sioux Falls, Elmwood, Leaf Rapids, and the Interlake and the children in Albania whom he took toys to. The list is endless. He will be dearly missed. His unique, wonderful sense of humour, stories, practical jokes and his love to tease will never be forgotten. Paula and family would like to thank Terry's physician and close friend Dr. Zeph Weisenthal, Pharmacist and neighbour Dr. Ernest Stefanson in Gimli, Dr. Michael West, Dr. Gary Schroeder and Janice Nesbit of the Health Sciences Centre and all the staff at CancerCare. We would also like to thank the staff a Johnson Memorial Hospital with a special thank you to Janice Dey and Dale Moroski for their exceptional care and compassion during Terry's short stay. A cremation has taken place. A private ceremony will be held this week. All his friends and family can look forward to a special memorial and celebration of his life this coming summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to an account set up for the the Boys at CIBC, Gimli Branch. Account number 75-85934, transit number 00357. Cheques may be mailed to the bank directly, CIBC, PO Box 70, Gimli MB, R0C 1B0. The funds will be used for their education in the future.
