ERDMAN (ED) DUECK December 1942 - January 2006 Ed was born in the Altona hospital and grew up on his grandparents' farm west of Altona. He attended the District School to the age of 13, when he moved with his parents and sister to Winnipeg. Ed enjoyed playing high school football. He loved the game until the last day of his life, cheering on the Blue Bombers all the way. Ed learned to handle machines of different kinds with his father at the farm. This stood him in good stead during his adult years. He located to British Columbia at the age of 20 as a crane operator and soon graduated to larger cranes. Ed retired at the age of 59. Ed and Aurla were married June 1987. Aurla, his wife of 18 years survives him, as well as his mother and sister in Winnipeg. We mourn Ed's passing with the assurance that Ed is with his Saviour Jesus Christ in paradise. My soul has wings, And I have left my burden behind. I am at peace.
