WALTER ABRAM GOERTZEN After a long battle with illness, Walter Abram Goertzen passed away peacefully in his sleep at the St. Boniface Hospital, on February 7, 2006. By his side was his wife, Marilyn. He will be leaving behind many family members who will truly miss him, including his mother, Lena Goertzen and eight brothers and sisters and their families. Walter had an abundance of love for all, and as a testament of that love he leaves behind his daughter Wendy Swanton and her husband Chris, Cindy Little and her husband Norm, Gina Walker and her family, Catherine Cook and her husband Lorne and his son, Stephen and his wife Dawn, together with 16 beautiful grandchildren and their spouses and one adorable great-grandson. Services will be held on Friday, February 10 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rowandale Baptist Church, 162 Rowandale, East Kildonan. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations be made to The Kidney Foundation of Manitoba. The family would like to thank the St. Boniface Hospital staff on the 8th floor for their kind attention and support throughout our family's time of sorrow.
