Date of Passing: Feb 08, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGISELE GERMAINE ROSS October 26, 1959 - February 8, 2006 After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Gisele left us to be with our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Gisele was predeceased by her parents, Aurele (2000) and Therese (2005); sister Claudette (1948); sister-in-law Angele (2005). She was born and raised in Lorette, MB. She worked at AFG Glass for the past 18 years where she made many treasured friends. Her pleasures were bingo, playing cards, going for car rides, sitting outside by the fire with her family, friends, and neighbours enjoying 'un petit coup' with her cat Spunky, by her side. Gisele was a God-send to her parents in their final years. Her time was focused on meeting their needs before her own. We were proud of our little sister and her giving nature. A benefit social was organized in her honour in October. The outpouring of our community's generosity, the incredible band, friends and relatives that came together to make that evening the most memorable event of her entire life is something that her family will always remember and cherish! You have all touched our hearts! A lesson that Gisele learned throughout her cancer experience was to live life to the fullest and not to sweat the small stuff. She will be lovingly remembered by her siblings, Denis, Claudette (Art), Gil (Mae), Claude, and special friend Trent. To cherish her memory are numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends. The nursing staff of 7A South at St. Boniface General Hospital, along with Doctors Daeninck, Krahn, and Cameron were an amazing bunch of compassionate, caring, and professional people; that kept us reassured that Gisele was in good hands! A big thank you goes out to all the relatives and friends who were so supportive and comforting with their presence, kind words, and much needed and appreciated prayers during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 409 Tache, Winnipeg, MB R2H 2A6. Prayers will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 11, followed by a Mass of the Resurrection at the Notre Dame de Lorette Roman Catholic Church in Lorette, MB. Pere Armand LeGal will be presiding. Gisele will be laid to rest in the Lorette cemetery immediately following the Mass. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
