*** Change in time of service *** MATHILDA ELLEN LANGTHORNE (FRANKLIN) (DENGATE) Peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 our dearest mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away at the age of 98 years. Born to Frank and Irene Dengate on January 12, 1908. She lived most of her life in the West End of Winnipeg. Ellen was predeceased by her parents, her first husband Herbert Franklin in 1954, her second husband Miles Langthorne in 1978, her brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Mary Dengate, her daughter and son-in-law, Marjorie and Jack Livingstone, her son-in-law Gus Wolfram, her son Gilbert Franklin and her grandson Randy Livingstone. She leaves to mourn her passing her sister Bertha Pinel of Vernon, BC, daughter Evelyn Wolfram of Winnipeg, son Clifford (Lorrie) Franklin of Lac du Bonnet, daughter Karen (Doug) Stoesz of Calgary, AB and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren who cherish her memory. The family would like to extend a very sincere and special thanks to the staff of the Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave. A memorial service celebrating Ellen's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 13 at Fred Douglas Lodge Chapel, 1275 Burrows Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations in Ellen's memory may be made to the Fred Douglas Foundation, 1275 Burrows Ave., Winnipeg, MB R2X 0B8.
