Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryTHOMAS FRANK KOMATICH It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father and grandfather, Thomas Frank Komatich on February 9, 2006. Tom was born in Winnipeg on October 21, 1923. He married Katherine Jestadt in 1948, and together they celebrated the joyous occasion of their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 1998. Dad was predeceased by Katherine, who passed away June 11, 1999. Through his strong faith in God, Dad was awaiting the day to be reunited with Mom. Tom followed in his father's footsteps and began working for the CP Railroad. When war broke out in Europe, Tom answered the call by driving to Detroit to enlist in the US Army, as his parents were US citizens. He proudly served in the US Corps in Europe. Following the war he continued working for CPR until his retirement. Until his sickness got the better of him, Tom volunteered hundreds of hours to St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, working Bingo for over 25 years, weekly. Tom also assisted the church as an Usher and counting the weekly collection. A special thank-you to Roman for his countless acts of kindness in helping Tom at home. Dad will be greatly missed by son Greg (Susan), grandchildren Brady and Jeffrey, and son Ken (Kathy), grandchildren Blaine, Derek, and Kaylee, whom he shared a special bond. Prayers will be said on Monday, February 13 at 9:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Mountain and Andrews with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044

Dear Greg and Ken, Alan and I were very sorry to hear about your father. We were fortunate to have shared some time with him at Granite Lake and see how much he enjoyed spending time with his family and the special love he showed for his grandchildren. Whenever we visited Winnipeg, he would welcome and open his home to us even though our visits were short and not very often. He was a very good man and will be missed. Our love to you and your families, Leigh Ann and Alan Robb - Posted by: Leigh Ann and Alan Robb (Family) on: Feb 14, 2006
