ANNIE LEFTERUK After a lengthy illness, Annie Lefteruk, aged 89 years, of East Selkirk, MB., passed away at the Selkirk District General Hospital on February 9, 2006, with her family at her side. Annie was predeceased by her husband Nicholas, daughter Donna Jane, granddaughter Allison in infancy, parents Andrew and Pauline Zabogruski, sisters Mary and Nettie, brother Steve, daughter-in-law Julia and son-in-law Douglas. She is survived by children Donald (Rose), Boris (Pollyanna), Polly Anne, Lloyd (Pauline), and Caroline (Percy); grandchildren Brenda (Mark), Davolyn (Ted), Rhonda (Gord), Leslee (Randy), Kenneth (Tracy), Kevin (Diane), Sarah (Kris) and Braydon; greatgrandchildren Amanda, Allyson, Andrew, Lauryn, Adam, Ian, Aiden, Jordan, Justin, Jake, and Jacob; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mother used her many talents to create beautiful handicrafts in sewing, knitting or crocheting, for which she received many awards. She also passed on these talents by teaching others. Annie loved company and always had a meal ready for anyone who dropped in. After dad passed away in 1979 she lived be herself and carried on with her sense of humour, generosity and her permeating love for all. Prayers will be said tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday February 14 at 10:30 a.m. in the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church, East Selkirk with Fr. Peter Chorney officiating. Interment in the Parish Cemetery. Her grandsons will be her pallbearers. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
