Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySOPHIE KOZLOWSKI (nee KOWALIUK) Peacefully on February 9, 2006, Sophie passed away at Riverview Health Centre at the age of 90 years. Sophie is survived by daughters Sharon (Brian) and Donna (Bill); grandchildren David, Kara, Michael and Lauren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Michael, parents George and Mary and siblings Elizabeth, John, David, Doris, Bill and Rachel. Sophie was born on April 15, 1915 and was raised in the Prince Albert, SK area. She attended Normal School in Saskatoon and subsequently taught in various communities in SK. During the The Second World War, she entered the Civil Service in Ottawa. She married Michael in 1944 and later returned to teach High School in Leader, SK. In 1974, they retired to Saskatoon where Michael later passed away. For the past 15 years Sophie has resided in Winnipeg. She always took a strong interest and participated in Ukrainian cultural and Church affairs. The family would like to thank the staff at Riverview Health Centre for their care and compassion. A Funeral Service was held on Saturday, February 11 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with Rev. Dr. J. Buciora as officiant. Interment is to follow in Saskatoon, SK.
