BOHDAN CHEMERYNSKY Peacefully, on Friday, February 10, 2006, with his beloved wife Gloria and his great-nephew Greg and wife Miranda at his side, Bohdan passed away at Holy Family Nursing Home at the age of 81 years. His parents Ivan and Magdalena and brothers Roman and Ivan predeceased Bohdan. Surviving him are his loving wife Gloria (Kuleba) of 38 years, his nephew Zenon, great-nephew Greg (Miranda) and great-niece Tania (Russell). Bohdan was born in Bibraka, West Ukraine, in 1924. He emigrated to Belgium, then to Alberta where he briefly worked in the coal mines. He sponsored his family to Canada while in Alberta. They settled in Manitoba where Bohdan obtained his CA degree. Bohdan and Gloria enjoyed many years of travel especially their trips to Europe. At home, they spent many pleasant hours boating on the Red River. Grateful thanks are extended to all staff on the 3rd floor of Holy Family Nursing Home for their loving care. Prayers will be said at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, February 14, at 7:00 p.m. Funeral liturgy will be celebrated at St. Vladimir Olga Cathedral on Wednesday, February 15, at 11:00 a.m. by Celebrant Rt. Rev. Mitrat Michael Buyachok. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bohdan's name to Holy Family Nursing Home, 165 Aberdeen Ave., R2W 1T8 or the Parkinson's Society of Manitoba, 302-171 Donald St., R3C 1M4.
