Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBETTY LILA TOMLINSON (nee DAVY) July 1, 1927 - February 3, 2006 Peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer it is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Betty, aged 78 of Winnipeg on Friday, February 3, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre. Lovingly remembered by her life partner Clint Colquhoun his daughter Shelley, husband Cliff, Jim Tomlinson; son David his wife Judy; grandsons Terry and Reed; granddaughter Jade; great-granddaughter Caitllin; sisters Hazel Wineke (Oregon) and Doreen Eidsvig (Winnipeg). She will be remembered by numerous nieces and nephews, brother and sisters-in-law. She is preceded by sisters Edna Hatley, Connie Wesley; parents Frank and Olive Davy. Betty attended Lord Roberts school and graduated from Kelvin High and was employed by the Department of Labour for 18 years until her retirement. She spent many hours volunteering at the Lord Roberts C.C. and was an avid gardener who spent countless hours tending her flowers at her home on Jubilee. She also enjoyed encouraging her grandchildren in activities such as jazz, dance, hockey, baseball and numerous school concerts. Cremation has taken place and a private family service was held at Thompson In the Park Cemetery. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the Riverview Health Centre 3 East Palliative Care for their kindness.
