HELEN WILDE Peacefully, on February 4, 2006 at her home at Trinity Village Care Centre in Kitchener, ON. Dearly loved Mom of her daughter Carol and Brian Quinn of Kitchener, and her son Gerald and Elsie of Edmonton. Loving grandmother to Jill, Scott, Wendy and Todd and great-grandmother to Falon, Shannen, Lukas, Nicole, Michelle, Cooper and Tori. Her sisters, Hylda Grevis and Irene Mauthe both of St. Catharines, ON, Lydia Dodds; and her sister-in-law Eleanor Streich both of Winnipeg; as well as many nieces and nephews will also sadly miss her. Helen was born on July 30, 1910 in Volynia, Russia and brought to Canada as an infant by her parents Henry and Ernestine Streich (Strike) settling in Morris, MB and then Winnipeg. Mom was a long time member of the Lutheran Church of the Cross in Winnipeg until she moved to Ontario in 1989 to be nearer her daughter and family. Her husband Ralph in 1951, her brothers, Edward, Samuel, Charles and Eric and granddaughter Joan, predeceased Helen. A funeral service has been held in Kitchener and burial will take place at a later date in Winnipeg.
