JOAN ESTELLE CONWAY (nee GODDARD) Peacefully at the Pinecrest Seniors Home, Kenora, ON., Joan passed away February 6, 2006 in her 71st year. She leaves to cherish her memory her mother Alice and brother Alan Goddard (Gabriel), their three children, Chris (Donna), Sandra (Laurie), Maureen Fregeau (John) and their sons, Mackenzie, Jackson and Jamieson, Sandra's children, Joan , Arlin, Mitchell, Susanna, Eliot, Leah and great-grandson Joshua; aunts Thelma Levin, Irene Madill and many cousins and dear friends. She was predeceased by her father, Robert Goddard, ex-husband Jim Conway, cousins Walter Petersen, Blake Madill and aunty Olive Johnson. Joan attended schools in St. James and later worked for TCA (Air Canada) in Winnipeg and Montreal. On May 7, 1956 Jim and Joan Conway were married by Rev. Maurice McLuhan at Deer Lodge United Church, St. James. Jim was an Air Traffic Controller and they lived in several places, finally built their home in Kenora on the Lake of the Woods. They both enjoyed sailing, skiing, skating and swimming as did their children. Joan loved music, played the piano, reading and crafts. She was a kind, generous and gentle lady loved by all that knew her. They family wish to thank the staff at the Seniors home for their loving care these past 8 years.
