MARGARET NAUER (nee KLIPPENSTEIN) Peacefully on February 8, 2006, surrounded by loved ones, Margaret passed away at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 86 years. Margaret will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughters and sons-in-law of Winnipeg: Dolores and Alf Horn, Judy and Ed Law, her grandchildren: Natalie (Brad) Ruff, Winnipeg, Jeff (Rita) Law, Brandon, Derek Horn, Toronto, Greg (Crissy) Law, Edmonton, and her precious great-grandsons, Thomas Law and Colby Ruff. Also left to mourn are her brother Ed (Shirley) Klippenstein, Abbotsford, and sister-in-law Elizabeth Klippenstein, Altona, as well as many nieces and nephews. Margaret was predeceased by her husband, Wilfred (Bill) in 1998, her parents, four brothers, five sisters, and their spouses. The youngest of 11 children, Margaret was born on June 16, 1919 in Alt-Bergthal, MB. In October 27, 1940, she married Wilfred Nauer, a marriage that spanned 58 years. Their union was blessed with two daughters Dolores and Judy. Mom lived in Winkler for over 60 years first in their home on 12th and later on 13th Street. In 2000 she left her familiar surroundings and moved to Kirchhoff Gardens in Winnipeg. Most recently, in April 2005, she moved to Concordia Place. A wonderful homemaker, Margaret didn't enter the workforce until her daughters were in high school. She worked in the creamery, and the sewing factory but it was when she worked in the activity department at Salem Home that she found her true vocation. A member of Trinity Lutheran for over 60 years, Mom served her dear Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ with a willing and happy heart. She loved teaching Sunday School, serving on Altar Guild, singing in the choir. After moving to Winnipeg, she became a member of Faith Lutheran Church, participating in quilt making and Bible Study with a group from Kirchhoff Gardens. The family would like to thank the staff and volunteers of Concordia Place for their care and compassion with special thanks extended to Chaplain John Friesen. At Margaret's request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 13 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg. Following the service, a private family interment will take place at Plum Coulee Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to Faith Lutheran Church, Pastor's Discretionary Fund, 1311 Dakota St., Winnipeg, MB, R2N 1V8 or to The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6.
