EUNICE GRACE PETER With profound sorrow we mourn the passing of Eunice Peter, our mother and beloved wife of the late Dr. Norman Peter on February 10, 2006 at the Riverview Health Centre. Eunice will be remembered with great affection by her daughter Donna Byrne and Donna's husband Michael, her son Bob Peter and his wife Margaret, her grandchildren Kathy (Christian), David (Tara), Robyn and Roslyn, and by her great-grandson Liam. She was also predeceased by her sister Hilda and her brothers Noel, Eric and Bert Brown. Eunice was born and raised in the farm community of Minto, MB. It was there that she met Norman, a veterinary with the Federal Government, and her lifelong love. They were married April 30, 1941 and moved to Winnipeg to live, work, raise their family and enjoy time with their many friends and extended family. Eunice was a devoted wife and mother, an avid gardener, and loved people, golf, bridge, and vacations at their Clear Lake cabin. She was very active in the Veterinary Wives association, including serving a term as President. Eunice's faith was very important to her, and she was an active and long-time member of St. Stephen's Anglican Church. Eunice has enjoyed living at the Riverview Health Centre since January, 1995, where she made a great number of friends amongst both her fellow residents and Centre staff. The family extends their deepest gratitude to both past and present staff of CD-3 for their care, support and kindness to Eunice over the years. Flowers are gratefully declined, but should friends desire, donations in Eunice's memory may be made to The Riverview Health Centre Foundation, 1 Morley, Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 15 at 2:30 p.m.P.M. in the chapel at The Riverview Health Centre, followed by a reception in the Centre's Thomas Sill Auditorium.
