MARIE ROSE DESORCY Peacefully, with her family by her side on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital, Marie Rose Desorcy passed away. She was predeceased by her parents, Sophronie and Osman; sister Marie Ange Dansereau; brothers, Joseph, Marcien, Raphael, and Msgr. Charles Desorcy. Left to cherish her memory, sisters, Marcelle Laurin, and Therese (Romeo) Manaigre. Also left to mourn are eleven nieces and nephews. Marie Rose, born in Lorette, MB, was a registered nurse who traveled extensively throughout her long career working in hospitals in Canada and the U.S.A. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 675 McDermot Ave., Room ON1160, Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9. The family would like to thank her special care giving friend Valerie Lavallee, and the staff at 6ECU at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion shown towards Marie Rose. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 17 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Emile's Roman Catholic Church, 556 St. Anne's Rd. with Fr. Rene Peeters officiating. Interment of the cremated remains will take place at a later date in Lorette, MB. The Desjardins Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements, 233-4949 or toll free at 1-888-233-4949.
