Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryIRENE FLORENCE DELISLE With sadness in our hearts, the family of Irene Delisle announces her passing on Thursday, February 9, 2006 after a short illness, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 66 years. Remaining to forever cherish her memory are her husband Norman; daughters, Denise Halliday (Gary) and Brenda Godson (Tim); and the four special people in her life her grandchildren, Chantel, Ryan, Jenna and Justin. She is also survived by her sister Ida Brier (Jimmy); brother Basil Daoust (Evelyn); sisters-in-law, Dorothy Daoust and Dona Daoust; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Irene was predeceased by her parents, Albert and Bertha Daoust; brothers, Eugene, Walter, Roger and Robert; sister Annette and sister-in-law Kay. Irene was born in Viscount, SK on June 25, 1939 to Albert and Bertha Daoust. She was the youngest daughter in a family of eight siblings. Irene eventually settled in Winnipeg and married Norman Delisle on February 6, 1960. Our parents just celebrated 46 years of marriage and were very proud of this accomplishment. For many years Norm and Irene travelled to Mexico for the winters. They made many friends from Canada, U.S. and Mexico and have many fond memories of their travels. As a dedicated employee, she worked many years as the bookkeeper for Dominion Food Stores in Winnipeg. In 1990, she moved to Tall Timber Lodge (Lac du Bonnet) and now her home was officially known as The Lake . She made many friends from the lake and particularly Val was a great support to our wife and mother during her illness. At the family's request, no formal funeral service will be held. Special thanks to the dedicated staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. To Dr. Yip and the nurses of A7 South our deepest thanks. To our nurse Karen - thank you for not only the special care to our mother but to our entire family. With all our hearts - we love you Grandma!! Irene's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
