TRICIA RIGAUX Suddenly and peacefully at aged 34, Tricia Rigaux passed away on February 11, 2006. Tricia was born January 18, 1972. She lived her first 10 years in Oakbank, MB, then 4 years in Chilliwack, BC, and moved back to Oakbank where she completed high school. The last 13 years she lived independantly in Winnipeg. Tricia will be deeply missed by all her family, friends and especially by her boyfriend, Bill Plumridge. Leaving to cherish her memory are her Mom, Linda and Stepdad, Wayne Hogaboam, her brother Jeff and sister-in-law Lisa, her uncles and aunts, Glenn and MaryJane Mcleod, Bev McLeod, Leslie and Peter Jamieson, Barry and Kathy Killbery and Art and Diane Bostrom. Tricia's cousins were important in her life and she will be sadly missed by Wendy, Gary, Karen and Heather, Maureen, Diane, Doug, Maggie, John and Chrissy, Robin, Laurie, Ross and Arthur, Kevin and Tara, Shane and Brent and all their families. Tricia found great joy in her new set of siblings with Wayne's children and grandchildren, Curtis and Karen, Brittany and Mandy, Derek and Peggy and Dean and Patricia. Tricia's full life was blessed with the love and friendship of some wonderful family friends who have continued to be a part of her life. Terry and Nancy Trush, Lisa, Tracy and Ryan and now their spouses and children. There were also many family times spent with the Andersons, George and Kathy, Jeff A , Scott and Marcy. There were many wonderful times with Uncle Al and Aunty Gladys at Betula Lake. Tricia had a wonderful childhood despite the problems of living with Spina Bifida. Hospital stays were always tempered with opportunities for more stuffed toys. Tricia was active in Brownies, swimming, wheelchair sports and Riding for the Disabled. She loved to watch figure skating and knew the skaters almost intimately. She loved babies and especially loved the Anne Geddes portraits with Celine Dion. School was a social time for Tricia and she loved it. After graduation her desire to work with kids led her to pursue a career as a Teacher's Aid. Unfortunately, she was never able to become employed as one, but volunteered for six years at Prairie Rose School. Tricia was a kind and gentle soul who gave her heart to many of those less fortunate. She loved to give to the children's charities in Winnipeg. Her last years were sometimes difficult but her love for Bill and his for her, gave her much joy that shone in her face when she smiled at him. We are grateful for Bill. Tricia was a friend to all who met her. The merchants and shoppers at the Garden City Mall knew her well. They will be asking Bill where she is. Tricia loved cats and especially her Cat From Hell Tiny. The family pets, Joey, Sam, Dusty and Brodie all gave her great joy and an opportunity to give some love back. We are all sad today but believe Tricia is in a better place, in the arms of her daddy, Noel, her uncle Barry, Aunt Judy, Grandpa and Grandma Mcleod and Grandpa and Grandma Rigaux. Though we will grieve for a long time, we hope and believe Tricia is free of her body and is walking with the angels. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 15 at 11:00 a.m. in the Oakbank United Church, 582 Balsam Cres., Oakbank. Rev. Dawn Ballantine-Dickson officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Tricia's memory to the Childrens Hospital Foundation, CE 501-840 Sherbrook Street, Winnipeg, MB R3A 1S1. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
