PHYLLIS C. PARKER Phyllis C. Parker , born November 5, 1915 at Rathwell, MB, died on February 10, 2006. Mom died peacefully at the Golden Door where she had lived for almost seven years. She formerly lived at Sanford, MB. She is lovingly remembered by her three children, Sarah (Henry) Banman, Jane (Cam) Horn, Wright (Edith) Parker; and grandchildren, Greg (Nancy) Banman, Kim (Mindy) Banman, Wright Banman, Orlando (Bonnie) Banman, Marian (Louis) Kish, Brent (Maggie) Horn, Darcy (Janice) Horn, Cheryl (Jon) Wiebe, Darlene (Derek) Giesbrecht, Danielle Johnson, Ed (Jenny) Parker and Wendy (Jay) Des Champs. She had 29 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. She is survived by a brother Ted Hunt and a sister-in-law Merle Hunt. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1984, a son-in-law Pete Banman in 1988, two sisters and three brothers. In her lifetime she was a member of and involved with various organizations such as the Women's Institute, Sanford United Church and the Sanford Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She also taught sewing to the 4H club, curled and sang in the choir for many years. Many thanks to the staff at the Golden Door for their kind and loving care of our mother. Special thanks to Emma and Dr. Domke. Funeral services will be on Friday February 17 at 11:00 a.m. at Thomson In the Park at 1291 McGillivray Blvd. There will be viewing for an hour before the service. Following the service, burial will take place at the Sanford Cemetery. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Kim Banman, Louis Kish, Brent Horn, Darcy Horn, Ed Parker and Jay Des Champs.
