Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROSE GILL 1914 - 2006 Peacefully on February 11, 2006, with family by her side, our mum and baba passed away. Mum was the eldest of three children born December 18, 1914 to Harry and Barbara in Thunder Bay. As a small child her family moved to Dauphin to take up farming. She had many stories to tell of these times. As a young woman she moved to Winnipeg to find work and make her life. This is where she met her husband Carl, had her children and made their home. They were soul mates until his death in May, 1978. She had many jobs in her lifetime, but the one she enjoyed the most was being a wife, mother and baba. Although she was small in size, she was the strength of our family. Her most treasured possession was her family, which she cared for until the end. Her passions were gardening, crocheting, camping and dancing, family get togethers, offering friends a cup of tea and lending a helping hand. Mum was predeceased by her eldest son Robert, youngest daughter Debbie, brother Walter, sister Stella as well as her parents. Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Judy (Vic); son Doug (Colleen); her grandsons the pride of her life, Scott (Carolyn), Brent (Marcie), Kevin (Shelley), Jason (Jolaine) and David; her cherished great-grandchildren, Dana, Lindsay, Kellen, Travis, Jake and Jenna. Our family wishes to extend our thanks to all the wonderful people who helped our mum over the past few years. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 16 at 12:30 p.m. in Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway. Interment will follow in St. Vital Cemetery. Thomson Funeral Home 669 Broadway - 783-7211
