ELIZABETH KOBIE 1932 - 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother on February 12, 2006 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Liz passed away peacefully in her sleep while at home. Liz was a devoted and loving partner, mother, grandmother and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving husband, Frank; her two sons and daughter, Allan (Monika) Kobie of Calgary, AB, Karen (Don) Corothers of Fort McMurray, AB and Keith Kobie of Calgary; and her five special grandchildren, Lisa Corothers of Calgary, Amanda Kobie (Brandon Best), also of Calgary, Steven Corothers of Fort McMurray, Nicole Kobie of London, England and Michelle Kobie of Lethbridge, AB; sister Annette Konkin of Weyburn, SK; and her brothers, Peter Relkoff of Cranbrook, BC and Sam Relkoff of Nelson, BC. Liz was born August 15, 1932 near Kamsack, SK and grew up in Nelson, BC. She gained recognition as a successful executive assistant and performed in this capacity for the City of Portage la Prairie, the University of Manitoba and the University of Alberta. She was also the second man at small R.C.M. Police Detachments in Manitoba where Frank was stationed. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Riverbend Lutheran Church, 495 Rhatigan Road E, Edmonton with Pastor Cliff Haberstock officiating. Interment to follow in Rosehill Cemetery.
