JULIA SENYSHYN (nee SWYSTUN) Julia passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2006 at the age of 80 years at the Grace Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Walter on July 23, 2004. Her children, Jan, Wilma (Bill Rowsell), and Pam Gross (Tom); and grandchildren, Sacha Clarke (Daniel Cosman), Angela Clarke-Senyshyn, Adam and Cody Gross grieve her loss. She leaves a brother Anthony Swystun (Germaine); and three sisters, Mary Claus (Walter), Elsie Stutsky (Bill) and Donna Wyatt (Reg). Julia was born September 4, 1925 in Winnipeg, the eldest daughter of George and Mary Swystun, homestead farmers in Lockport. Julia left the farm at age 18 for Winnipeg to sew military hats for the war effort. While attending a dance for soldiers she met and later married Wally Julia was very creative and over the years had attended several dress design courses. She loved to design and create clothes for family and friends. Julia's husband, was her devoted caregiver until his death. Julia resided at Deer Lodge Centre (3-south) for the past six months, where she dearly loved the staff. Julia was devoted to her family and she will be missed. Those wishing to honour Julia may consider a donation to the Manitoba Schizophrenic Society. The Rev. Stefan Jonasson will preside over a memorial service on Friday, February 17, 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, 4477 Main St, West St. Paul, MB (204) 982-8300.
