ADRIENNE MARIE BENNETT (nee LARENCE) It is with sadness the family announces the passing of Adrienne Bennett, beloved wife of Ernie, on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 85 years. Adrienne was predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. John Larence, five brothers and three sisters. Besides her beloved husband Ernie, Adrienne leaves to cherish her memory, two sons, Lawrence (Hilde), granddaughters Amanda and Melissa, Brian (Cheryl), grandchildren Chris, Karen and Dustin, also her brother and sisters-in law, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Born May 13, 1920 in Deerhorn, MB, she was the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Larence. While a young girl the family moved to St. Laurent, MB where Adrienne grew up. Following her education, Adrienne was employed at several places in Winnipeg, including Kiewels Brewery where she met her future husband Ernie. They married on August 7, 1948. They were married for over fifty years, celebrating their Golden Anniversary on August 7, 1998. The family wishes to thank the doctors and nurses, especially Estelle and Jennifer of the 6th floor at the St. Boniface Hospital for their wonderful care of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, our appreciation will last a lifetime. A memorial service celebrating Adrienne's life will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald St. Her ashes will be laid to rest in the family plot at Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
