Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDHANWANTIA (POLLYDORE) GANGADEEN September 5, 1920- February 14, 2006 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. Dhanwantia was born in Wakenaam, Guyana. She worked as a seamstress and a school teacher until immigrating to Canada in 1981 to be with her children. Dhanwantia was a very loving, caring and generous person, who was known for her strong faith. She was predeceased by her husband Balgobin in 1965. Left to cherish her memory is her brother Edward (Toronto); sisters, Elizabeth (Guyana), Elaine (Toronto) and Juliet; her children, Rose (Ralph), Dennis (Farida), Veronica, Patricia and Maurice; grandchildren, Carmelita (Mark), Elisa, Christina, Symone, Chantel, Megan, Matthew, Melanie; great-grandchildren, Shailo and Taysia and numerous other relatives in Guyana and North America. Cremation will take place and a service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 3:00 p.m. at New Apostolic Church, 1755 Taylor Ave. Special thanks to the doctors and staff at the Health Sciences Centre and the Tuxedo Home Care staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
