IVA SINOSICH (PUNOS)

IVA SINOSICH (nee PUNOS) Peacefully on February 14, 2006, Iva, our wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, left us to be with her son John. Iva was born on November 16, 1920 on the island of Vragada on the Adriatic coast of Croatia. She met her Vinko in 1949 at an internment camp near Naples where they were married and set off on the adventure of a lifetime, sailing to Canada, arriving in Winnipeg and settling down to raise their family. Iva is survived by her husband of 57 years, Vinko and her children, Laura Marie (Antonio) Peluso, Anna (Terry) Gallagher, and Bill (Nancy McIlroy) Sinosich. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lisa and Jonathon Cramm, Marco Peluso and Colleen Baerg; Erin Gallagher and Brad Johnstone, Sean Gallagher; William, Amanda and Mathew Sinosich and great grandchildren Brittany and Conner. She was predeceased by her son John in 1986. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Parish at 510 River Ave. with viewing starting at 9:30 a.m. Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating. Interment to follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. Riposa in Pace CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
