JAMES (FRANK) ARTHUR TOKAR After a hard fought battle with cancer, we are sad to announce the passing of our much loved Frank; husband, father, brother-in-law, uncle, friend and neighbour. He was 70 years old and died on February 14, 2006. Frank was born on November 25, 1935. He was predeceased by his mother Martha and sister Bertha. He is survived by his wife Erica (Ricky), daughter Kelly-Ann Ivory, son and daughter-in-law Robert and Karen, and many other friends and family who loved him very much. Jim, as he was known by his coworkers, started a 40 year career with Canadian National Railway on June 14, 1954. Most of his working years were in Symington Yards until he retired on July 31, 1994. We would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Davey, Dr. Unruh, Dr. Navaratnam, Dr. Ahmed, Dr. Crow, Dr. Mulder, Dr. Dhaliwal and all of the nurses and staff associated with the Cancer Care Manitoba and Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital. A gathering of family and friends will take place at Thomson Funeral Home, 669 Broadway on Saturday, February 18 at 4:30 p.m. We gratefully decline flowers and request that donations be made to Cancer Care Manitoba or to the Palliative Care Unit at St. Boniface General Hospital. He's a man of great dignity, honour and strength. His merits are noble, and of admirable length. He's far greater than all other men that I know, He's my Dad, he's my mentor, my friend and hero.
