MARGARETE HELENE WOLTER (nee STRUWE) On Tuesday, February 14, 2006, our mother, grandmother, and aunt was called to be with her heavenly Father. God blessed Mom with a fulfilling 95 years. Her faith in God always remained strong, and her faith carried her through all the tough times and good times. Margarete was born January 5, 1911, in Tapiau (Gvardeysk) Germany. In 1953 the family immigrated to Canada. Winnipeg has been home ever since. Mom fulfilled her dreams and continued to work in her chosen profession, nursing, until her retirement,(and in her spare time she would knit up a storm). Mutti was predeceased by her son Uwe in 1948, and her husband Ewald in 1982. To cherish her memory, daughter Gudrun Neeth and son-in-law Bruno; her grandchildren, Bernhard and Angelika. Her nephews in Germany, Walter Kleinfeld, Erhard (Ingrid) Kleinfeld, Helmut (Hildegard) Kleinfeld and Herbert Schroeder. The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to everyone for their visits, unwavering support, and friendship. Our heartfelt thanks to all the caregivers at Misericordia for their kindness and support. Celebration of her life will be on Monday, February 20 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 65 Walnut St. with Pastor Heimo Bachmeyer officiating. Interment will follow in Brookside Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations may be made to St. Peter's Sunday School Fund. Friends Funeral Service (339-5555) in care of arrangements.
