Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryMABEL PHILLIPS March 25, 1916 - February 14, 2006 Peacefully on February 14, 2006, Mom passed away at the Maples Personal Care Home. Mabel was predeceased by her husband Horace in 1977, son Kenny in 1956 and son Donny in 1974. Left to cherish her memory are sons, Harvey, wife Linda and their children, Andrew, Michael, wife Erin, daughter Elaine Berkowski, husband Dennis and their children, Chris, Tara Mota, husband Walter; their son Edan, Gordie, wife Teresa, Stephie, Ben and Ellen. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 3:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. A reception will follow. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca. In tears I saw you sinking, I watched you fade away. You suffered much in silence, You fought so hard to stay. You faced your task with courage. Your spirit did not bend, But still you kept on fighting, Until the very end. God saw you getting tired. When a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you And whispered Come to Me . So when I saw you sleeping, So peaceful, free from pain. We could not wish you back To suffer that again. Long time friend of my mom's you are reunited with your husband Horace Kenny, Harvey, and Donnie we were all great friends I remember staying at your house or coming to visit you'd be so happy to know my husband Richard and I wrote a book.
