BARBARA ANNE BRISCO (nee LANDLES) Peacefully, on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, Barbara Brisco passed away at the Grace Hospital. Barbara was predeceased by her father Percy. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 32 years, Ernie; daughter Kristy and nine cats; mother Una Landles; brother Ed (Linda), sister Donna Bibeau, brother Rick (Cindy) and brother Ken (Jan); as well as numerous relatives and friends. Barbara was born in Winnipeg on October 19, 1947 and graduated from Churchill High School. She worked for the Manitoba Health Commission for 14 years and then enjoyed operating her own Merle Norman Cosmetics franchise for many years. Barb enjoyed being the greatest fan of the Winnipeg Blue Bombers for 47 years, reading, watching horror movies, cooking and her cats. Kristy was Barb's miracle and she said, her true calling in life was to be a mother to her only daughter. She took pride in being the best mother in the world. The doctors, nurses and staff in the emergency and at the Grace Hospital were exceptional care givers, and we truly appreciate the care given to Barb. Memorial service will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, February 20 at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave., with a reception to follow. Barb loved flowers-especially pink carnations, if friends so desire flowers may be sent to the funeral home, or donations in Barb's memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3L 0K6. Family and friends are invited to sign the Book of Condolence at www.chapellawn.mb.ca CHAPEL LAWN FUNERAL HOME AND RECEPTION CENTRE 885-9715

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)

  • Mommy truly was like a mother to me, for the past 7 years she would give advice, make us laugh or help Kristy throw the best damn parties ever. She had the ladies at Salisbury House convinced she actually did have 4 or 5 kids, and in all honesty it truthfully felt like we were family. I'll miss you, Mommy. - Posted by: Brad Regelous (Family) on: Feb 19, 2006
