JENNIE (JANE) KENDALL (nee AUTY) It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother at the Poseidon Care Centre on Tuesday, February 14, 2006, at the age of 94 years. Remaining to forever cherish Jane's memory are her daughter Judy (Bob); grandchildren, Corinne (Amerjit), Colette (Luc) and Rod; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Melissa, Patrick, Joshua and Amber as well as numerous nieces and nephews in Winnipeg, Calgary, Kelowna, Vancouver and Courtenay, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Bill; parents, Eli and Frances; sister Nellie and brother Bill. Jane was born in Portage la Prairie, MB and moved to Winnipeg at the age of six months. She lived in St. James as a child and moved back into the area after her marriage to Bill. It was there that she devotedly spent the next 60 years (of their 63 years together) tending their little home on Amherst Street. Jane was an adoring wife and mother, who doted on her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with tender attention and care. We will all remember her Sunday family dinners, lovingly prepared along with homemade apple and lemon meringue pies as well as the world's best chocolate chip cookies to ensure everyone had their favourite dessert. Grandma Kendall was a talented seamstress, creating beautiful clothing for her family and Barbie doll apparel for delighted granddaughters. We have been blessed with a special angel, who will now watch over us from above. Jane also dedicated 54 years to Stovel/Sanford Evans Publishing Company, working her way up to the position of Circulation Manager. No formal funeral service will be held. A family graveside service will take place at a later date. The family wishes to express heartfelt thanks for the loving care Jane received from the 4th floor nurses and health care aides during her three year stay at Poseidon Care Centre. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in her memory may be made to the Manitoba Alzheimer Society or a charity of one's choice. Jane's arrangements have been entrusted to the Family Owned Funeral Chapel of: WOJCIK'S ALL BELIEFS FAITHS FUNERAL CHAPEL CREMATORIUM 897 - 4665
