ANN WIEBE (HAYKA)
Date of Passing: Feb 14, 2006
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANN WIEBE (nee HAYKA) Ann Wiebe, 87 years old, passed away on February 14, 2006 at Victoria Hospital. As she made her journey from this world to the next, she was lovingly attended to and comforted by her four daughters. In October 2004, after 62 years of marriage, she lost her loving and devoted husband, Norman. How very much she missed him! Mom will be sadly missed by daughters, Brenda (Norm Zebrynski), Nancy (Richard Powzun), Donna (Dean Donegan) and Norma (Mike Kostrowski). She was a very devoted grandmother to Michael (Kelly), Kyle (Danielle) and Haley (Desi); Glenn (Terri), Carla Ann - deceased September 2002 (Sean W.); and Sean T. and Tammy (Murray). In the last few years, Mom's great-grandchildren, Tyler, Steven, Brendan, Joshua, Harley, Amber, Shannon, Chelsi and Cassie brought her great delight. Mom was excitedly awaiting the February arrival of her newest grandbaby, Haley's second child. Adding to her joy over the years were the family pets, Mocha, Sadie, Belle, Emma, Chico, Ty, Keisha and Toby. Once Dad returned from the Second World War, mom and dad bought their one and only home and went on to raise a family of four daughters. Mom was a devoted wife and mother who dedicated her life to providing us with a wonderful and memorable upbringing. She worked in the housekeeping department at St. John's Ravenscourt School for a period of ten years, once all the girls had married. In her retirement years she concentrated again on all the children in her life. Family meant everything to mom! Oh, how we will all miss her. Mom, born in Arnes, MB, leaves to mourn all of her own siblings: Steve (Jean), John (Jean), Bill (Annette), Millie (Mike - deceased) and Tony (Jocelyn) and all their families. The funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 1:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd., with viewing held 45 minutes prior to the service. Interment will take place at Waverley Memorial Gardens. THE LAST GIFT OF LOVE IS REMEMBRANCE.
