GAIL WILMA CANDLINE January 11, 1954 - February 15, 2006 Our family is saddened to announce the sudden passing of Gail Wilma Candline. Gail will be forever missed by her husband of 31 years Bill, son Keith and his wife Michelle, granddaughter Madeline; sisters, Connie Scarth (Larry), Donna Green (Grant); nephew Adam and niece Kate-Lynne as well as numerous aunts and uncles. Lifelong friends Linda Wark and her daughter Erin; Barbara and Chester Wilson and their daughters, Mallory and Demaris will also feel the tremendous loss of such a warm and caring woman. Gail was predeceased by her parents, Mary and Koloman Godal. Gail grew up in Transcona and attended Regent Park, John Gunn and Transcona Collegiate schools. After graduating, she started working in the secretarial field and as technology enveloped the business world, Gail embraced this technology with a passion. She worked at Princess Auto, Rothmans, Sylvia Personnel, Earth Tech and most recently embarked on a self employed venture called Document Solutions by Gail. She was a talented administrator who was never afraid to challenge today's technology. Gail met Bill while working at Princess Auto and they were married on October 12, 1974. In 1977, Keith was born and Gail and Bill's lives became busy with his active and bright life. Her great pride was Keith's graduation from Aeronautical Engineering - her greatest pride was the birth of her granddaughter Madeline last spring. Gail's most magical moment was her recent Christmas in Savannah, Georgia with Bill, Keith, Michelle and Madeline. Gail was a talented artist who enjoyed painting, scrapbooking, knitting, sewing and ceramics. Her greatest work of art was the christening gown that she painstakingly sewed by hand for Madeline's baptism. The gown represents hundreds of hours of a grandmother's love and talent that will carry her memory and legacy through many future generations. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Gail's life will be held on Tuesday, February 21 at 2:00 p.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 East and Navin Road. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3L 0K6. GREEN ACRES Funeral Home and Cemetery Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin, (204) 222-3241
